Codelabs (KODLABS) LLP is an engineering team based in Almaty, Kazakhstan. For sixteen years we have been building and running hardware-and-software systems where a mistake costs money: payment gateways, crypto processing, gaming and betting platforms, cash desk networks, live video with remote equipment control, sports IoT tracking.
The defining trait is full vertical coverage: from the schematic of a circuit board and the firmware of a microcontroller to a database cluster, columnar analytics over billions of rows and the interface the end user sees. One team owns the whole chain, so no part of a project ends up belonging to nobody.

The main platform holds 19 005 commits by 41 authors over 2020–2026, 2.18 million players and about 1.5 million money operations a day on a cluster of 13 nodes. The cash desk system has 3 739 commits and runs in several countries. The C++ core of the sports feed has been in service since 2020.
Idempotency at every money boundary, atomic status transitions, automatic reconciliation of stuck operations, a financial audit of load runs down to the cent, and a post-mortem for every serious incident.
Our own circuit boards, firmware for AVR, STM32 and ESP32 — including a network stack written from scratch because the ready-made one did not fit into the microcontroller memory. Drivers for cash desk peripherals, radio positioning, video paths carrying thousands of streams.
